Vice: Nutella Candies

There aren’t many things better in the world than Nutella. Pietro Ferrero should be recognized along with Edison, Franklin and Jefferson as a great inventor, a pioneer, a genius. Anyway, I digress. I wanted to share a recipe I concocted one night when I was craving something sinful.

This is a horrible photo but the best I could do with an iPhone at dusk and two 4-year olds pulling on my shirt!

Recipe #1 Uhmm Bolas

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet powdered non-fat milk
  • 2 tablespoons Nutella
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa ( I prefer Hershey’s)

The above measurements are just to give you a starting point. You can add or subtract depending on how much you want to make, consistency, etc.

Directions:

  • Add Nutella and peanut butter to mixing bowl. Combine.
  • Add powdered milk a bit at a time until the consistency is right for rolling into balls. If they are too gooey you don’t have enough powdered milk. If they are too dry you have too much so add in a bit more Nutella, peanut butter, or both.
  • Add cocoa to a small bowl
  • Roll the balls in the cocoa to cover

Recipe #2 Mugwumps

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet powdered non-fat milk
  • 2 tablespoons Nutella
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened coconut flakes
  • 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa ( I prefer Hershey’s)

Directions:

  • Add Nutella to mixing bowl.
  • Add powdered milk a bit at a time until the consistency is right for rolling into balls. If they are too gooey you don’t have enough powdered milk. If they are too dry you have too much so add in a bit more Nutella.
  • Add cocoa to a small bowl
  • Roll the balls in the cocoa to cover
  • Roll in coconut

That’s it. These will take you about 10 minutes to make and they are so delicious! Enjoy.
