Vows: I Adam take you Steve

Gay marriage has been the hot topic of the week with North Carolina voting to ban same-sex marriage, Obama expressing support for it, and Romney hoping to use it to win the presidency. It shocks me to say that Obama and I agree on something and it greatly disappoints me that Romney has taken a strong position against it. More than anything though I’m annoyed that it’s even an issue. What happened to “liberty and justice for all?”

If you don’t believe in gay marriage, don’t get gay married.

If you believe God is against gay marriage, wait until you’re dead and ask Him. Until then you think you know, but you don’t actually know.

If you think you are God or can hear Him and He has told you to make choices for others please dial 911.

  1. His position on abortion isn’t different than the majority of Republican candidates. But just as Obama will never make gay marriage legal on a federal level (he opposed it saying marriage was between a man and a woman in 2008 and is saying he supports it now in another election year. hmmm) Romney and no one else will terminate a woman’s right to choose. It’s typical campaign rhetoric. They say what they think the majority of voters will want to here. On this issue again I just wish it wasn’t an issue…especially one being used politically by one candidate who opposes it and another who says he doesn’t but has not and will not do anything to change things.
