My “After Twilight” reading recommendations have so far included vampires, angels, and werewolves. Time for trolls. I wasn’t originally interested in reading a paranormal romance about trolls. Shrek comes to mind and it’s not very appealing. (And yes, I know Shrek is an ogre and not a troll. Tomāto, tomato.) However, Amanda Hocking’s Trylle Trilogy rebrands trolls, transforming them from monster-like creatures into supernaturals as equally alluring as their paranormal peers. Wendy Everly’s discovery of her heritage and all that comes with it will undoubtedly have you reading Switched, Torn, and Ascend in rapid succession. There are talks of bringing these books to the big screen too. Let’s just hope that the folks who did the Twilight films aren’t involved.
